Black Russian With Love.

Monday, April 9th, 2007

Well I have just poured myself a Black Russian to unwind some more, and thought I would take a moment to announce the fact that i have got a new theme running on my blog. If you can’t tell, well you must be stupid!

No! On a serious note, it blends in with the home and other pages much better than the old one ever did, not to mention the dated 2005 look that it also carried.

The current leader-board image is from a shot I took in Melbourne, a rather nice piece of graffiti i thought. Now heres a challenge, if you can find the piece and take a photo of yourself with it i will you $5!(Only the first person to do so i might add, lest i end up going broke from 100,000 hits for free and easy money.)

Yes, this is just the first of many competitions to appear on multimeter v4.00, so stay tuned for more coming to you soon, very very soon! Not to mention more in the way of Mac how-to content and more news to.

Les Miserables - West End

Saturday, January 6th, 2007

Yesterday evening i went and saw Les Misérables at The Queens Theatre in Londons West End. The staging was fantastic and the use of great scenery and lighting effects made for a spectacular evening. One of the main stage techniques of the production was the use of a revolving stage, where the entire centre section of the stage is able to rotate in a circular motion.

Lesmis

This allows for quick and efficient scene changes by distracting the viewer with motion at the front of the stage while in the dark at one side at the back furniture and props are placed onto the turntable. they in turn come into view and stop at the correct position at the centre of the stage.

It also allows for effective representation of all things timely such as going on a journey and marching to war. All in all another spectacular musical show, well worth seeing if it ever comes to your neck of the woods. For a show that has been running for 21 years it still draws quite a crowd every night.

Free writing with a reason.

Monday, December 12th, 2005

I was talking on MSN tonight and i realised that my keyboards space bar actually was quite loud and had a squeak, so i decided to oil it. After oiling it i decided to test it out, and what follows is what ended up being written.

It reminds me of a literary technique where one sits down and begins free-writing so as to resolve any writers block and to stimulate the mind.

There is only one way to get what you want. that is through the real person on the other line picking up the phone and yelling at you from the other end of the line. Small cats do inadvertently show signs of a big fat cat yelling at you over the large yellow machine that makes ricotta cheese parcels…. which where very good and tasted like a load of cheese in your mouth, it was all a large amount of fun and we all had a fab time, there are only a few mistakes in the case and they were all from the stuff ups from the bands insisting on playing from memory and not from the score that they were provided with at the start of the night, there is only one excuse for there actions and that is through the use of there own drugs, to treat there own symptoms, the paper in the water pot was full fo roses, and i decided to run away and jump off a cliff in order to see if i could indeed feel pain and sorrow for the loss of the ability to smell that i so dearly wanted to get back.

there was only one way to go and that was up. so i did, i went up and all was good after all….. there in the end stood the foot of the man who had once run over me in the black machine he called a motor car. what is the world coming to where one can run around in a public place and because of the running be accused of being a terrorist, it really does not make any sense at all. and i really wish it would all just go away.. there is only one person that can effect the beliefs of the public, and he is dead…. or at-least dead to the world… the late man from the waters edge.

or maybe it was robin hood.. a great thief if ever there was one. the green on his cape and the blood red feather he wore perched in his hat both show that he was a man of action and a man of the world… the green was that of nature and the red that of fire… and together they were unstoppable…. he could conquer all that stood in his path and in the end they were all up the creek of nature on a 12″ file of machine grit… btw what is machine grit? is it something that they use in factories to create nice shiny new objects or is it a by product of those same machines creating those nice new products for the world… who knows… its all so vague.

The Producer’s: Keep it Gay!

Sunday, November 14th, 2004

Let me tell you The Producers is fab-spak-tacular!.

I had a really good time, as it’s just generally funny which allows for great entertainment. In terms of cast, its not that large, however there are some famous faces in the small bunch. Burt Newton for one, who appeared to be having some trouble with a German accent!

The Producers

The set was amazing, with a few million dollars having been spent on it in-order to get it to the stage that it was! Congratulations to all of the performers and the technical crew for a great entertaining night at the theatre!.

THe lighting by ByteCraft was also up to scratch, with a few nice effects and a custom gobo or two for that illustrious facial shot on the wall!

Also a big thank-you to You Stu! letting us crash at your place for the night, the conversations that we had were quite something weren’t they!

Lastly thanks’ Han for the driving, I’m sure next time we will have a better idea of how to find Stu’s place!
