Up to Bright we go again.

Wednesday, December 28th, 2005

By the time this appears on the blog, we (Chris, Pant and myself) will be on our way upto Bright for a few days of R&R.

Should be good me thinks….. Its also going to be a big test of the TomTom (GPS navigation) system that Pant got for himself in November after always finding himself getting lost :) (Not really, but it does sound better that way.)

So were leaving Wed 28th December, and will be back some time friday arvo/evening. I will be sure to post some photo’s once i get back, from the new camera of course..

New Site Index page.

Tuesday, December 27th, 2005

Some of the more astute readers may have noticed that the index page found at http://phoenixonline.co.uk/ has in the last week or two been changed to a simpler, less confusing and more visually appealing listing of the contents of this site of mine.

New Index

The photo was taken by myself some time in November, after an evening exam while i was waiting to get a train home. I really like the way the blue and the black work together to give a fast moving image a good bit of life. the photo is in no way boring.

Merry Christmas

Monday, December 26th, 2005

Christmas this year has been good. Not to busy and quite relaxing, the weather has been nice as well (for the most part anyway).

I ended up getting a few bits and pieces for Christmas:

  • A new queen-size duvet
  • Plenty of shirts (always welcome)
  • Shoes
  • A Keg of Beer
  • Some cash
  • Vouchers (thanks Pant)
  • A few other pieces of Clothing
  • And so much food its not funny (Chocolate especially)

Christmas day was spent at home with Marilyn, David, Andrea, the Family and All 3 of my remaining grandparents which was quite alright. The amount of food we had was however insane, Turkey’s, Potato’s, Salads, veggies, Christmas Pudding, Cheesecake. The whole works.

Till next time.

Happy Birthday

Saturday, December 24th, 2005

The 23rd of December every year is my special day, and this year i ended up having a small gathering with a few people, a bit to drink and loads of food. The night was good fun and hopefully everyone enjoyed themselves.

I ended up getting that camera that i had been looking at over the last month, the Fuji F10, with its super duper low light shooting, and lovely high ISO Film speed ratings.

I will have to post some photos taken with it soon, but enough to say i am happy with it!

O yes, before i forget the brownies were fabulous to. They are so good, and this time they even had hazelnuts in them, soooo tasty. i want one now… to bad they went so fast.

Till next time, laterz

Free writing with a reason.

Monday, December 12th, 2005

I was talking on MSN tonight and i realised that my keyboards space bar actually was quite loud and had a squeak, so i decided to oil it. After oiling it i decided to test it out, and what follows is what ended up being written.

It reminds me of a literary technique where one sits down and begins free-writing so as to resolve any writers block and to stimulate the mind.

There is only one way to get what you want. that is through the real person on the other line picking up the phone and yelling at you from the other end of the line. Small cats do inadvertently show signs of a big fat cat yelling at you over the large yellow machine that makes ricotta cheese parcels…. which where very good and tasted like a load of cheese in your mouth, it was all a large amount of fun and we all had a fab time, there are only a few mistakes in the case and they were all from the stuff ups from the bands insisting on playing from memory and not from the score that they were provided with at the start of the night, there is only one excuse for there actions and that is through the use of there own drugs, to treat there own symptoms, the paper in the water pot was full fo roses, and i decided to run away and jump off a cliff in order to see if i could indeed feel pain and sorrow for the loss of the ability to smell that i so dearly wanted to get back.

there was only one way to go and that was up. so i did, i went up and all was good after all….. there in the end stood the foot of the man who had once run over me in the black machine he called a motor car. what is the world coming to where one can run around in a public place and because of the running be accused of being a terrorist, it really does not make any sense at all. and i really wish it would all just go away.. there is only one person that can effect the beliefs of the public, and he is dead…. or at-least dead to the world… the late man from the waters edge.

or maybe it was robin hood.. a great thief if ever there was one. the green on his cape and the blood red feather he wore perched in his hat both show that he was a man of action and a man of the world… the green was that of nature and the red that of fire… and together they were unstoppable…. he could conquer all that stood in his path and in the end they were all up the creek of nature on a 12″ file of machine grit… btw what is machine grit? is it something that they use in factories to create nice shiny new objects or is it a by product of those same machines creating those nice new products for the world… who knows… its all so vague.
