OMG Such an Intence Weekend!!!

Monday, November 22nd, 2004

What a Weekend!!!! With only 4 hours of sleep it was interesting to say the least!.

Laura Your party went OFF, um and thanks for the couch later on.

The worst thing about getting drunk on bottles of wine and going to bed at 5am is getting up the next morning! Something that i had to do, because we were going out to lunch for dad’s birthday!

Lunch was nice, however i couldn’t really face any more wine after last night, which was a shame seeing as we were at Willow Creek Winery, an excellent source of both red and white wine!

PS: Stu i love “Big Red”’s new head unit, hopefully one-day my *UBAR* will be graced by a new Head Unit install!. Hint. Hint. I need your help!

Im off to Philip Island tomorrow for the week which shall be interesting!.
If anything urgent comes around and you want to have a chat use my mobile, i will have it with me i promise!

Busy… SHOPPING!!

Saturday, November 20th, 2004

Well recently I have been flat out buying things, for myself and others!. Usually at a discount and less than retail price! And today was no different.

This-morning I found myself confronted with an early rise!, getting up at 70:30 to trek down to Mornington to help out at the surgery, basically doing receptionist like activities such as answering the phone and running through peoples payments on the HICAP’S Machine.

Before long I found myself at Addo’s again for what seems like the 10th time! Picking up our replacement MP780 (Which is working great apart from the lack of a sufficiently long USB Cord), before heading of in the direction of Clive Peeters, in order to pick up a washing-machine and try to organise a Amp for Pant. We got the washer, however couldn’t find the manager to inquire about the amp so left that for the phone for later on.

Once home, in a rather quick bit of dealing, I managed to line up Pant’s New Amp, for pickup this-afternoon (rather fast even if i do say so myself! ) before popping out for a driving lesson with my new instructor.

Tonight is Laura’s 18th, (just her party, not the actual day) which shall be a nice end to this week, before next weeks hi-spirited celebratory event’s!

In other news I also managed to buy myself a new Mobile Phone, a White Sony-Erricson T630, that shall be good. (from ebay of course!)

Sony Ericsson T630

Finally i’m having my wisdom teeth out in the near future! (Actually its on the 3rd of December.) which should be loads of FUN!!!!!

Enjoy the new Amp tonight James!

MP780 DOA!!!!!

Thursday, November 18th, 2004

Well after spending at-least an hour on the phone to Canon Australia it would appear that our new Canon Pixma MP780 is DOA, with the print head not moving and it issuing an error code ##356…

So it would appear that it has to go back to CCW, from where it will pass back to Canon for replacement!

Extremely Frustrating if you ask me!!!!

The Producer’s: Keep it Gay!

Sunday, November 14th, 2004

Let me tell you The Producers is fab-spak-tacular!.

I had a really good time, as it’s just generally funny which allows for great entertainment. In terms of cast, its not that large, however there are some famous faces in the small bunch. Burt Newton for one, who appeared to be having some trouble with a German accent!

The Producers

The set was amazing, with a few million dollars having been spent on it in-order to get it to the stage that it was! Congratulations to all of the performers and the technical crew for a great entertaining night at the theatre!.

THe lighting by ByteCraft was also up to scratch, with a few nice effects and a custom gobo or two for that illustrious facial shot on the wall!

Also a big thank-you to You Stu! letting us crash at your place for the night, the conversations that we had were quite something weren’t they!

Lastly thanks’ Han for the driving, I’m sure next time we will have a better idea of how to find Stu’s place!

How It Works…The Computer

Saturday, November 13th, 2004

Hmmm… Super interesting!!!…. How It Works…The Computer A Ladybird Book : 1971 & 1979!

This interesting read shows jsut how complex and alien computers where to the general population back in the 70’s. The advancement of technology is quite amazing!

Yay!… Last VCE Exam Ever!!!

Friday, November 12th, 2004

Today I had my last vce exam ever, it went ok, however it being chemistry is in itself not a good omen for me at-least . Not so sure about some of you other punks out there!.

Anyway let the celebrations begin, Fun and interesting times ahead all around, plus a few drunk and vague memories and blurred photo’s im sure.

Saturday night shall be interesting. An outing of sorts up to see the last night of The Producers in Melbourne, at the Princess Theatre thanks in part to Kinsey’s amazing organisational skills! (btw… good work).

Have to catch up soon!. have a quiet drink, and just reflect on one of the most amazing, memorable, enjoyable, and yet quick years of my life so-far!.

In other news i didn’t manage to pick up the MP780 today because it apparently doesn’t seem to have come in from Canon yet, so instead of playing around with it for the afternoon i went shopping for some much needed clothes!. Managed to find a nice new shirt, that while being quite bold has a superb cut, being made in Italy!.

Hope everyone else’s exams are going well, or if there over your having a good time already!

Hmmm…. Nice one!

“At least Bill Gates didn’t have the ego to name an OS after himself like Linus did!”

Perhaps that’s because he didn’t write it?

PIXMA MP780

Thursday, November 11th, 2004

Well it has come to that time in my life that your fax machine dies. Therefore a replacment is in order!

Enter the Canon PIXMA MP780.

 Canon PIXMA MP780

Everything ‘&’ the kitchen sink!

Two really nice features are the duplex ability, printing on both sides of the page, and the duel paper paths, that allow you to have 2 different types of paper in the printer at once, selecting which tray to print to from the computer or machine itself!.

Then there’s the Ultimate. Inbuilt support for direct CD label printing! Where instead of printing onto paper it prints onto the top of your cd.

I should be picking it up after my last exam (Chemistry) tomorrow morning from addo.

It Features:

  • Photo print, scan, fax, copy, Camera Direct Printing.
  • FINE Photo print quality: 4800×1200dpi, ContrastPLUS.
  • Build in Memory card Reader.
  • Up to 25ppm mono, 17ppm colour.
  • 33.6Kbps fax modem (3 seconds a page b&w).
  • Duplex & borderless printing & copying.
  • 35-page ADF, Dual paper trays.
  • CCD Flatbed Scanner: 2400×4800dpi.
  • & direct CD and DVD label printing.

Rather impressive if you ask me!

  • Files Goes Gold Master!

    Monday, November 8th, 2004

Well not really Gold-Master, thats jsut a term in the software word, but it has gone Live.

Check it out and let me know what you think. There’s a few hours of effort in that one to.

It is as i suggested before, fully dynamically driven. The menu structures are all created on the fly from file-system data read in by php and the titles and descriptions are read from text-files.

It seam’s to work well and if all goes to plan i should have some function source code up soon.

    Methods Exam 2 Went Well!

    Monday, November 8th, 2004

The 2004 Methods Exam 2 went surpassingly well considering the amount of learning that i have actually done in the last year thanks to a certain Mrs Somebody.

Im hopping that i get over 25 for the subject so that i have a chance of getting into Comp-Sci at Melbourne U that has MM 25+ as a prerequisite. I think that it is an achievable goal (after sitting the exam’s thats a good thing).

My next exam up is Chemistry, on the Friday 12th of Nov. My final VCE Exam ever. YAY……. Hopefully that will go well.

Hmm its actually slightly sunny outside atm. Any bet it wont last for long, so i had better go now and try to enjoy it while it lasts.

    Not So Much!

    Monday, November 8th, 2004

Hmm… Well the last few days have been rather uneventfull. Apart from the tremendous amount of Rain that has been poring down for the last few days, which was quite a change from usual.

There was the swarm of bee’s that decided that my corner of the house would be a nice place to hang around for a bit (see this photo).

And then there was the Rain!

I’ve also been doing rather allot of php codeing, for my files area. Hopping to implement a cool new index system in the near future.

As well as a small amount of study for my methods exam that’s on Monday!

    Wish me luck! -RH

Literature Went Well… Now for Method’s.

    Thursday, November 4th, 2004

Today was My last English exam ever or so it would seem, Literature went well with The Shark Net Getting some interesting Extract’s to write on, although nothing was mentioned of either Royce or Eric. Chaucer being slightly harder, With extracts from “Wif of Bathe”, “Reve” and the “Monk”.

Tomorrow is Maths Methods Short Answer Exam, which will hopefully go well enough.

For all you slackers, Here’s (1.9MB) my Formula Sheet!

See all you Methods Boy’s Tomorrow! Woot.

    Tuesday, November 2nd, 2004

As you can see Multimeter sports a newly designed interface. Hopefully its an improvement over its old self.

I would also like to take this time to thank each and everyone of you for your ongoing support, as well as mentioning just how much IE sucks in comparison to every other browser out there in terms of CSS and HTML rendering compliance.
