Can you Say NUT?
NUT is a UPS monitoring system for Unix/Linux distro’s. Its realy good once you have it all set up however getting it all working together takes some time.
I started out looking for a utility to allow my Smoothwall box to email me alerts when the power failed and allow it to shut down gracefully upon reaching the Low Battery signal from the UPS.
I ended up getting it all working yesterday after getting a remote shell with the gcc elf compiler on it from Tom.
Stay tuned on nut installer front as there will be some announcements later on. I have written an install script for smoothwall and IPCOP at the moment and will place the whole tar.gz file up there in a little while.
I had better go now, my English Oral is beckoning.
