All Calm after the Storm.

Went up to the city today basically to pick up a new wireless card for my ibook. I had held out until now because apple’s asking price for the unit was until now AU$199 which i felt was just slightly too much for what essentially a mini-pci 802.11g card.

After Apple’s WWDC yesterday they re-bumped some prices on there online store both here and in the US. Basically the card that I had been hanging out for was reduced in price down to AU$129. I picked one up from the Apple Store (NextByte on Elisabeth st.) after only a slight bit of arguing. (My demands were the first thing they had heard of the card’s price bump.)

Basicly saying that Apple Australia’s web site was the definitive guide and seeing as they had the new price listed on the online store they were obliged to sell it to me for the new price.

After consulting with there manager they were happy to give it to me for the new price, which i would assume was adding up as a loss in there books. They probably paid more than $AU129 for the card wholesale from Apple Australia (The Importer).

Catch u all later.
